Meet Lara Schaeffer

Lara Schaeffer is a trusted guide for neurodivergent students, young adults, and career seekers navigating education and career pathways. With 28 years of experience in teaching, counseling, and admissions leadership, and three years focused on neurodivergent support, she blends professional expertise with lived experience.

Identified as autistic later in life, Lara offers strengths-based, personalized guidance that empowers students and adults to thrive. She previously served as a College Counselor and Director in a Manhattan independent school and is trained in evidence-based programs like PEERS® and the Greenwood System™.

Outside of Find Your Way, Lara continues to advocate for neurodivergent empowerment through speaking, writing, and community leadership.
